Just when we thought we couldn’t love Marisa Reichardt’s cover for her YA contemporary debut UNDERWATER any more than we already do, along comes the UK version. And we are swooning all over again.
As Marisa says, “For the UK cover, it’s the sparkles. The green. The blue. The hair being so perfectly Morgan Grant. The concept of the girl treading water, trying to keep her head above the surface, that is so completely perfect.”
The fantabulous Nicola W. revealed Marisa’s UK cover over at Queen of the Bookshelves today and we couldn’t be more excited for this stunning goodness to be out in the world. Not to mention that we love Nicola and all the awesome things she has done for 2016 debut authors through her Fledgling Authors Chats (#FAC16) on Twitter. The next one is scheduled for October 11, 2015 so mark your calendars! The Sixteen to Read team will be there along with a ton of other 2016 debut authors of books we love.
Until then, head on over to Nicola’s blog to stare and stare and stare some more at Marisa’s gorge UK cover. We know we are.
About the Book (UK jacket copy):
2. You are OK
3. You are not dying
What happened that day can’t be changed; can’t be unseen. But Morgan survived, and now she needs to find a way to move on – and forgive the unforgivable.
But Morgan can’t forgive, and she can’t move on. She can’t even move beyond the front door of the apartment she shares with her mother and her little brother. She feels like she’s underwater, unable to surface.
Just when it seems Morgan can’t hold her breath any longer, a new boy moves in next door. Evan reminds her of the salty ocean air, and what it feels like to be alive. But can he help her find the strength to face the future?
